This chippy has quite a fan-base. Despite driving past it day after day I never really took much notice until someone recommended it. I've since done the same thing to many people and all are in agreement that this is some of the best fish and chips in the city. They have a very big menu
and one of my personal favourites is the fish cake in a bun with salad and mayo. Chip portion size seems to depend very much on who serves you but generally speaking they're quite generous. They also offer good deals on smaller meals for children.
There is often quite a wait to be served but they really do work as fast as they can and the wait just shows how popular it is. There are a couple of parking spaces outside but it's rare that one is available; it's not a problem though as there's always parking available somewhere along the road. Don't be put off by the gang of kids that hang around the shop, they don't exactly make the place look inviting but they're harmless enough.
